Alright, now that we have only people who are in Episode 8, let’s explain what Rastaban Runs are. Rastaban Runs are gauntlets where a player will go through multiple fights, with the option to go back to the Pokemon center Center to heal throughout. That said, there is a unique mechanic with this. The final reward for completing these gauntlets are based on WHEN YOU WENT TO THE POKEMON CENTER WITHIN THE RUN. Going to a Pokemon center Center fully resets the counter for the said run; so the earlier you go back to the Pokemon Center, the better. I’ll explain below

  • Not going to a center at all; T4 rewards (best possible)

  • Going to a center after winning first battle OR losing once; T3 rewards

  • Going to a center after winning second battle OR losing twice; T2 rewards

  • Going to a center after winning third battle OR losing three times; T1 rewards


Note also that the interaction between losing, and going to the Pokemon center Center is odd. For example, if you go to the Pokemon center Center after winning your first fight, then win the second fight, lose the third once, then win the third fight, you’ll be left with T2 rewards despite winning twice. On the flipside, you can also go into the ‘negatives’ upon losing a fight. So if you lose 5 times to the first fight, then clear all 3 fights in a single go, you’ll only get T1 rewards.

Now that everything is cleared up, let’s get to what people were coming here for in the first place! The Rastaban Runs, where they are, and what rewards you can get from them.

Rastaban Run 1

The first Rastaban Run begins right when you start off the episode! You get plopped down out of a broken down train, and have the option to follow a guy into a cave to get to Telpele faster. You could entirely skip out on the Rastaban Run via doing this! So, recommended to follow him. The first fight is this person, right here! Something to note here as well, losing either of the first two fights puts you directly back at the train, and you’re unable to continue. So be careful.
